A Sad Time for NY

I am a New Yorker, born and bred. I have never lived anywhere else in my 27 years of life nor do I plan on living anywhere else for the rest of my life. NYC is my home and always will be.

As you all may know, NY was devastated by hurricane Sandy. Words cannot even begin to describe the damage that she caused us. I, personally, did not get hit as hard as many people in the area. I was lucky, very lucky. I still have power and I still have my car and my home. Others have lost everything that they have. Its a very sad time for NY, NJ, and CT (the tri-state area). My heart goes out to everyone that was devastated by this terrible storm. We must stay strong and we must rebuild. It will take a lot of hard work and most likely a ton of money but it needs to be done. We cannot let anyone take away what we have worked so hard for, not even mother nature.

To my fellow New Yorkers, stay strong. We’ve seen it all and been through it all and SURVIVED it all. We will survive this too.
