Crazy Weekend

What a weekend this has been. With my hubby been as sick as a dog, I had no choice but to step up and be super mommy and super wife all in one. Being a stay at home mom, I look forward to the weekends where daddy and Kaylee spend time together and mommy gets a little break. Not this weekend. This weekend I had two babies to take care of. I also had 5 orders come into my Etsy shop which sent my anxiety spinning out of control. (I don’t work well under pressure). Don’t get me wrong, I am so grateful for the orders and so happy to crochet it’s just that with Kaylee being Kaylee and daddy being sick it’s just hard to be the Stitchin’ Mommy and super mommy at the same time. Thankfully, the hubby is feeling much better today which means I can start on my orders. The only thing is, now I have to get some yarn.
I did find some peace this weekend. I was able to go out and do my own thing for a bit (by myself) and I even got to go to Barnes and Noble and get a new crochet book! It’s called The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet. I haven’t started going through it yet but since I’m a visual learner I think it’ll be a good book to help me out with my stitches.
I also had some time to reminisce about my tiny little princess on the day she was born. She’s growing up so fast right before my eyes. Before I know it she’ll be a big girl.
This picture shows when she was born and a picture I took of her on Friday.
Surprisingly enough I’ve recently had a few people ask me to teach them how to crochet. Yes I was a teacher and yes I know how to crochet but I’m not very good at teaching adults. I do very well with little kids but teaching adults is a whole different ballgame. I’m thinking of writing a little tutorial. Maybe I’ll come up with it soon. But as for right now, I have a few hats to make.
