Love & Marriage – My 4 Year Wedding Anniversary

Happy 4th anniversary to the love of my life, Mr. Kenny Ramnarine!

Today marks 4 years that I tied the knot with my best friend and the love of my life, Kenny. Since we’ve been married, we’ve lived in 3 different apartments, had 2 different cars, and have had 1 child. We’ve had many ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade a second of it if it meant that I couldn’t be here with him. My wedding day was the happiest day of my life (well next to the birth of Kaylee of course). It was like a fairy tale that I never wanted to end. Little did I know that married life wasn’t a fairy tale. Most people, including myself, go into a marriage thinking it will be all rainbows and butterflies, but it’s not. A true commitment takes work and understanding. You have to nurture a relationship and watch it grow. If you don’t put the effort into it and neglect it, your relationship will not flourish into an eternal love. Kenny and I worked so hard to get to a point in our relationship where we were really and truly happy with each other. It took quite a bit of compromise and a lot of nurturing, but I believe we are more in love today than the day we got married. And our love continues to grow as the days go by. There are a few things in life that I am not happy about, things I wish I could change, but being with my husband and my daughter is something I would never trade, not even for all of the money in the world.
