THIS PATTERN WAS DESIGNED BY KATHRYN OF ST. CLEMENT’S DAUGHTER, EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE STITCHIN’ MOMMY

This quick and easy baby hat has a natural flounce! The petal-shaped brim and soft floral colors make it perfect for being outside in the springtime. It’s a great last-minute gift project for mother and new baby. It should fit a child up to about six months old.

I have been crocheting since I was a child and especially enjoy making blankets and clothing for babies and children. I look for unusual, eye-catching patterns that would make stunning gifts. My Etsy shop, St. Clement’s Island, is named for a tiny island off the coast of Maryland, where the original English settlers of Mary’s Land (my ancestors) first set foot in the New World. My shop features beautiful, comfortable, and unusual items for babies and children. In choosing and designing patterns, I look to create excellent gifts for welcoming babies home, into their own ‘new worlds.’ Find out more about Kathryn from her Pinterest and Ravelry pages.
