My Trip to Stitch N’ Pitch 2015

My Trip to Stitch & Pitch 2015 | www.thestitchinmommy.com

Last Sunday, I attended Stitch N’ Pitch at Citi Field! Stitch N’ Pitch is a fabulous event put together by TNNA (The National NeedleArts Association) and sponsored by Lion Brand Yarn! I was invited by the lovely Jessie from Jessie at Home and we met up with Marie from Underground Crafter. It was so much fun! I have never attended a Stitch & Pitch event before so I made sure to savor every moment, even though it was 1000 degrees outside and it rained in the middle of the event 😉 I got to watch one of my hometown baseball teams play, the Mets, and do what I love, crochet!

I met up with Jessie and we found our seats and got our complimentary goodie bags from Lion Brand to make squares to be donated to Warm Up America. We ended up sitting right next to Marie and her guests. We crocheted our squares, chatted, ate, chatted more, ate some more, crocheted some more and watched our team get clobbered. It was ok though because we had an amazing time together! We even got to chat with Shira and sang for her too 🙂 I’m still waiting for our Broadway debut to end up on the Lion Brand YouTube channel so when it does, I’ll make sure to share it! Because we sang so beautifully, Shira gave us each a skein of the new Lion Brand Landscapes yarn! I can’t wait to show you what I made with it!

Make sure to keep an eye on my Instagram to see the finished squares that I am sending out to Warm Up America and for a sneak peek at my new pattern using my yummy new yarn!
