OttLite® 13W Craft Space Organizer Review and Giveaway | www.thestitchinmommy.com

Have you ever found yourself sitting in your craft room or craft space only to find that it’s dim and you can’t really see what you’re doing too well? Do you find it hard to see your stitches when knitting or crocheting? Maybe you just want to sit in your favorite comfy seat to read but the lighting in the room is not sufficient. Well, this happens to me more often than I care to admit. My eyesight isn’t all that great to begin with so I love the idea of having a nice, bright lamp to help me see better. This is why I absolutely LOVE my OttLite® 13W Craft Space Organizer!

I have received a complimentary sample of the product presented in this review. I was not financially compensated to write a favorable review. All opinions expressed in this post are my own. This post contains affiliate links. I do receive a commission if you make a purchase through my link(s), which helps support my blog and allows me to bring you more great posts!

OttLite® 13W Craft Space Organizer Review and Giveaway | www.thestitchinmommy.com

I immediately fell in love with my OttLite® 13W Craft Space Organizer the moment I plugged it in and put it on. The bright light from this little lamp was just what I needed! Let’s take a look at all of the fabulous features:

Tons of Storage

There are multiple pockets ranging in different depths for you to store your skeins of yarn, hooks/needles, scissors and other notions. The upper storage area has larger, deeper compartments for bigger and taller items. The lower storage area has smaller rounded compartments for smaller supplies that you want to keep within arm’s reach. I love having my buttons, measuring tape, stitch markers, and other little craft items in my smaller trays and keeping the knitting needles, hooks, scissors and other larger items in the upper storage area. The storage areas fit so many things so you won’t have to choose what to keep in there. You can store it all!

Bright and Crisp Lighting

The light from the lamp is bright but the multi-position shade rotates to adjust the lighting so you get the right amount of light you need. The neck is sturdy but flexible so you can adjust the light angle over your projects. The bright light also helps with eyestrain. If you have horrible eyesight like I do and try to crochet at night with a dim light, it can be so hard to see your stitches and even the pattern you are trying to read. The OttLite®’s crisp lighting makes it so much easier to see everything that you are doing clearly, so your eyes will not strain as much.

Here’s the difference that the OttLite® makes. The photo on the left is what my project looks like on a regular day in my craft room. Notice that the stitches are a little more difficult to see and the colors are all blending together. The photo on the right is what my project looks like when I turn the OttLite® on. This photo was taken just a few seconds later but you can see there is a huge difference in the lighting and the colors of my project look much more clear and crisp. You can also clearly see the stitches.

OttLites are the best products to help do crochet. I love both the magnification & fantastic lighting. Thx for reviewing more than one of their style so I can better decide which one of their many kinds I’ll be getting. I can’t wait to enjoy crochet even MORE, never thought that would be possible till I discovered all these babies, lol!

I would use the Ottlite 13w Craft Space Organizer when I’m working on my Crocheting or Embroidery work.
It would also me useful for my Newest Hobby of Coloring in the New Craze of Adult Coloring Books – to hold different accessories as in Colored Pencils, Markers, Gel Pens, etc.
I would put the Ottlite on my Crafting Table to give me the Brightness needed to enhance my vision in the above mentioned Hobbies!!

I own an older Ott-lite and I too love it. Mine is a larger floor model with a bendable arm. I still find this limited in that it is hard to get the work in the light path without blocking the light to see it.

This wonderful light would be a great asset next to my sewing machine. Even though I seem to have a bright light on the machine itself, this would improve my ability to see what I am stitching. Ott lights are certainly an added assistance to making sure the machine is doing what you need it to do — consistent terrific lighting plus the convenient storage area that is provided as well!!

I really need one of these – my eyes are old and I don’t see as well as I used to. Colors are getting difficult for me to differentiate – that makes for some hilarious combinations – I want to crochet for as long as my eyes and hands hold out, so Santa – bring me one of these!!!
