Work in Progress Project Cards – Free Printable

Work in Progress Project Cards - Free Printable | www.thestitchinmommy.com

I love working on multiple projects at a time but if I leave a project for too long, I tend to forget the details of my project. I can never remember what hook I was using or what yarn. I forget the stitch counts and sometimes I even forget what color pattern I planned on using! I was getting tired of trying to remember it all. So, I did the only logical thing and created these printable Work In Progress Project Cards! All you have to do is print them out, cut them out, fill them out, and pin them to your WIP (work in progress)! With these cute little project cards, you will never forget where you left off!

This is an example of what the WIP Project Card looks like pinned to one of my WIPs! This WIP is the Wonder Blanket CAL which you can find here

You can print them on cardstock for a more sturdy card or even laminate them for WIPs that you will be working on for a long period of time. A perfect example is this gorgeous blanket that I am working on for the Wonder CAL. The CAL ends in November so I will be laminating my card so that it keeps well until then. I just pinned the card to my blanket with a stitch marker and put my WIP away until it is time to work on it again.

Here is where you can punch out the holes. There are six holes for yarn colors and the heart at the top is where you can punch a hole to pin it to your project. I recommend an 1/8″ hole punch.ย There are 6 cards on one 8.5″ x 11″ page (landscape layout).

If you are as excited about these cards as I am, you can download them here! I hope you enjoy them and use them for all of your projects!

Thank you for the Work in Progress Cards. I will share them with my Sr. Ctr Crochet group. We crochet and knit for charity.

Thank you so very much for these!
Like you, I often have multiple WIPs and – this antique brain – forget details and have to try to figure out what hook, yarns, etc. I need to finish.

I’ve saved this and will print out immediately for the two major projects I have going right now – a “Blanket Sweater” and triangular kerchief, the latter of which I’ve varied from the pattern a bit and made it larger and plan to put a nice little edging all around…these cards will make it easier for me to recall necessary details when I try to finish. Since I’m making the kerchief larger, it was necessary to order a bit more Scheepjes Aquarel to finish. Love that yarn….so nice to work with…I may make a hat to go along with what now will be a shawlette or can be worn as a cowl…
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Big thanks from France !
Do you think it could be possible to provide us a knitting version ?
Again thanks

It is so kind to answer to me … And to propose !
I don’t know, perhaps a pair of knitting needles would fit well…
Anyway, do as you want , it is your blog ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks again
Apologize my english please

What a great idea. Wish I had thought of doing this myself. I have a scarf and two sweaters that are half finished but I can’t remember which hook I was using at the time! Thanks for this delightfully simple and ingenious idea.

Thank you so much for this WIP printable! I’ve needed to do this for so long but have never bothered..and I’ve had such trouble with my wips because of this ….all sorted now! โ˜บ x

What a wonderful idea, I have been using ‘stickies’ but they always manage to get lost these will stay with the project. Thankyou Cath

Amy, love the tags and they will be very helpful as I always have more than one project in the works…I can’t print this WIP tag though…help me please, and TIA. You have a great day!
