Highland Knits, published by Interweave/F+W, contains 16 gorgeous knit patterns that are inspired by by character garments in the OUTLANDER series. These pieces are classic and timeless and will be sure to match anyone’s style. Here are some of my favorite projects from Highland Knits:

Woodland Hooded Wrap (p 56)
This versatile wrap can be worn as a scarf, a wrap or put a belt on it and wear it as a vest! The cables and lace give it an intricate look and will also challenge your knitting skills!

This beautiful triangular shawl is based on a design worn by one of the main characters in the series. It features intarsia stripes which create an interesting look.

The patterns in Highland Knits will definitely test your knitting skills. The projects range in level of difficulty but there are stitch guides and other visual aids to help you get through it. There is a wonderful stitch glossary and stitch abbreviation page to help you understand the stitches and stitch abbreviations. Each pattern also comes with materials and yarn needed, gauge information, and finished sizes(s).
