Crochet Cute Critters

Crochet Cute Critters contains instructions for 26 of the most adorable crochet critters.

This book starts off with a wonderful dedication from Sarah to her family. It then moves on to a table of contents that contains a photo of each project along with their name and page numbers. Sarah also includes an introduction that discusses what Amigurumi is and what the patterns in the book are like.

Sarah then talks about what you will need to get started with the projects in the book. She discusses hooks, yarn, stuffing, and other materials you will need to complete each project. There is also a helpful chart for hook sizes and two helpful abbreviations charts in US crochet terms and UK crochet terms. There is also a wonderful guide containing standard and special stitches, with photo tutorials included.

Part two of Crochet Cute Critters includes finishing techniques to complete your project. Sarah discusses techniques for finishing the different parts of the animals including the limbs and face. There are also many detailed photos to help you visualize each technique.

We then move on to the patterns. Each pattern starts off with a little introduction to the project. Each pattern also contains a material list at the beginning and size information for the project. The patterns are written in great detail. Sarah makes sure to note any and all color changes and even provides tips on how the color changes can be made. The projects all start off somewhat the same but Sarah shows you how you can embellish them to make them into fantastic, cuddly, adorable critters.

At the end of the book you will find an Index containing the page numbers for several topics mentioned in the book as well as the patterns. You will also find Sarah’s acknowledgements at the end as well as her biography and contact information.
