Aligned Double Crochet Afghan Square Tutorial

  1. when you single crochet in between the dc clusters do you always chain one before you do the single crochet?

  2. i have some questions about this stitch. Is each row you do supposed to line up exactly with the row before it? My row 1 and 3 line up and 2 and 4 line up.
