After this row, you will be starting over with the Granule Stitch as follows:

Row 42 (RS): work 1 sc in each st across, ch 1, turn (33, 43)
Row 43: *1 sc in the next st, 1 sc picot st in the next st**. Repeat from * to ** across to the last st. (NOTE: be sure to push the picot stitches through to the RS of your work) 1 sc in the last st, ch 1, turn (33, 43)
Row 44: 2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each remaining st across, ch 1, turn (34, 44)
Row 45: 1 sc in each st across, changing color on the last yarn over of the last st, ch 3, turn (34, 44)

If you are making Option 1, your piece will measure 11.5″ wide and approximately 14″ in height after Row 45.
If you are making Option 2, your piece will measure 10.5″ wide and approximately 13″ in height after Row 45.

Repeat Parts 2-8 until you have reached 1″ before your desired length (the chart is shown on the intro post). It is possible to reach the length before you repeat all of the parts and that is ok. You may even end in the middle of a part which is ok too! I completed my rectangles by working up 75 rows. I did one row of the Crossed Double Crochet Stitch (Row 74) followed by one row of sc (Row 75) then I fastened off.

  1. Hi Amy,
Has anyone else had problems with the links not working right? The ones for parts 3, 5, 7, & 9 do not send me to the pages, they either go to part 6 or part 8. I’ve been able to back track using part six and the links to the previous 5, 4, & 3 but 9 was up yesterday but the link on part 8 doesn’t send me there. Not sure why there are issues only on the odd numbers…

    1. Hi Dena! I’m sorry you are having issues. Are you clicking from the intro post on Rhondda’s blog or somewhere else? I am going to try to see what the issue is and let you know! Sorry about that!

  2. Hi Amy

I’m working on your pattern Kaylee’s Snowy Day Cowl and you have stated that the finished piece is 10 1/2″ x 6″. This doesn’t sound right! Please advise! Thank you and blessings

    Tracy
