Welcome to the 2017 Scarf of the Month Club!

Join us this month for June’s scarf patterns!

Back by popular demand, Rhondda and I are hosting the Scarf of the Month Club CAL in 2017. We will each have a new free scarf/cowl/neckwarmer pattern on our blogs each month, for 12 months!

Bonus!

We are going to be joined by Joanita Theron of Creative Crochet Workshop as our special guest designer, who will also be providing free crochet scarf patterns for you each month! Joanita was out mystery designer quite a few times during last year’s CAL and we are so excited to have her on board this year.

If you want to know more about the Scarf of the Month Club CAL, including the schedule, please visit this intro post.

If you are participating in the CAL and want to share your progress, you can add a Ravelry Project Page for the scarves you make! Each pattern post will include a specific pattern link to Ravelry so you can add your own project pages!

  1. Can you please give me a bit of in depth instruction on how to finishthe scarf. How do i single crochet all around the scarf. Am i single crocheting into all four sides of the scarf and if so how do i know when i reach the corner stitch. Im mking this as a birthday gift for a friend and i only have 6 days to make it. Can you just give me some more in depth instructions on finishing it. Thank you.

    1. Hi Veon! Sorry for the delayed reply. I know you’re on a tight schedule. What you can do is after the last row, ch 1, turn, work 3 sc into the first st, 1 sc across until there is one st left at the end of the row, work 3 sc into the last st. Turn your work and sc into the side of each row until you get to the bottom of the scarf, then work 3 sc into that first st of the foundation chain, 1 sc into the bottom side of the foundation chain across until there is one st left, work 3 sc into that last st. Turn your work and proceed to sc into the side of each row until you are back to your beginning 3 sc. Join into the first sc.
