Crochet Loom Blooms

Crochet Looms Blooms contains 30 flower motifs that you can turn into amazing projects!

This book starts off with a great “About” section that discusses how the book is set up. There is also a wonderful note from the author that talks about how she came across flower looming.

We then move on to the introduction portion of the book. Haafner introduces you to the flower loom and suggests that you read through this first chapter before picking up a loom. She talks about different kinds of looms and also discusses how different yarn fibers affect the loom flowers. She then goes on to discuss how color choices affect your project.

After the introduction, we move on to the Flower Loom Techniques section which shows you the techniques you will need to make the flower motifs in this book. Haafner also provides some basic crochet techniques that you will need to make the motifs. All of the techniques contain illustrations, as a visual, along with a written explanation of the technique. She also provides joining methods for the flower motifs and also gives a quick rundown on how to read the patterns.

We move on to the flower patterns which are all absolutely gorgeous. Each flower motif has written instructions as well as charts to help you understand how to create them. Each pattern has a skill level, finished size, tools needed, and a chart key. There are also five great crochet project patterns at the end of the book that can help you put your new-found looms skills to use!

At the very end of the book, Haafner provides some information on how to create your own looms and provides a couple of templates.

Here are some of the flower motifs you will find in Crochet Loom Blooms:

and a very Happy Birthday to you!
I’ve never tried one of these looms, but the flowers are so cute- and so spring-ey looking! I love that Spring is coming here – and weather will be warming….Spring is my absolute favorite – with flowers springing forth from the earth – it’s like the whole earth is coming alive again!
