Amy Ramnarine is a freelance crochet designer and the owner/blogger behind The Stitchin’ Mommy. Amy has been crocheting since 2009 and knitting on and off since 2010. She started her blog in 2012 to help promote her Etsy shop and her finished items. Soon after starting the blog, Amy started designing her own crochet patterns and stopped selling finished items to solely devote her time to designing.
Amy is a former preschool teacher turned stay at home mom. She left her teaching career to raise her daughter. Soon after, she rediscovered her love for crocheting and found a love for blogging. Amy previously attended St. John’s University where she graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Business. She is currently pursuing a M.A. in Early Childhood/Special Education. Prior to teaching, Amy held a career in Finance. She also has experience working for several law offices and in several customer service positions. She currently resides in New York with her family.
