Happy Thursday! Welcome to this week’s Let’s Learn a New Crochet Stitch – Kitchen Crochet Edition event. This week I am going to show you a variation on the Wave Stitch in this photo tutorial.  I am also going to give you instructions for the Little Waves dishcloth in a  9″ x 9″ and 12″ x 12″ size. Little Waves Stitch Tutorial and Dishcloth Pattern

st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
t-ch – turning chain
() – indicates stitch counts
* – indicates instructions to be repeated

Multiple:

Chain a multiple of 8+5

Gauge:

3.1 sts & 2.4 rows = 1″

Finished Sizes:

9″ x 9″
12″ x 12″

Notes:

  • This pattern is written in US crochet terms.
  • The sizes are an approximation. They will not be exact. Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. Gauge is not necessary for this pattern but if you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.

Row 2: Ch 1, 1 sc into the first st, 1 sc into each of the next 3 sts, *1 dc into each of the next 4 st, 1 sc into each of the next 4 sts** Repeat from * to ** across, change to Color B in the last yarn over of the last st, turn. (28)
Row 3: Ch 3 (count as first dc), 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, *1 sc into each of the next 4 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 4 sts** Repeat from * to ** across, turn. (28)
