Rising Sun 12 Inch Afghan Square – Free Crochet Pattern {#MooglyCAL2016 Block 15!}

Rising Sun 12 Inch Afghan Square - Free Crochet Pattern | www.thestitchinmommy.com

I’m so excited to participate in the 2016 Moogly CAL! You can find all of the info for the CAL here. Here is block 15 of the CAL!

I love designing interesting afghan squares. Interesting afghan squares make interesting blankets! I treat them as a work of art and try to add as many details as I can without going too overboard. I am totally in love with my latest square. This 12″ Rising Sun Afghan Square can be made using several different colors. It is mostly solid but has a few “holey” parts to break it up a bit. I hope you enjoy the pattern and Happy Crocheting!

  3. I’m really confused, rounds 6 & 7 are exactly alike and have the same stitch count, but different colors. Since round 6 is an increase, I don’t see how the count can be the same. Then row 8 count works with row 6 counts. As i count the rows on your picture it looks like 6 & 7bare tge same color. Can you please help me?

    1. Hi Meredith, did you try working it up yet? The square has been tested and the stitch counts are accurate to my knowledge. Row 6 and Row 7 are actually 2 different colors.
