This week our featured blogger is the amazing Sheri from The Country Willow!
“My name is Sheri Weber and the mother of 2 daughters, Amy 31 and Nikki 29. I am also a fiancé of Dennis Fisher and step-mom to 4 more children, Nathan 13, who is playing football. Ethan 12, who is learning how to cook and man oh man, he is quite the baker!! Twins, Shayne and Shelbi ,who are 9 and would rather read than do anything else! Life is crazy, hectic, and we are always doing something. We are remodeling our home right now, what a nightmare. It will be worth it in the end, I am sure.
My father taught me to crochet when I was about 12 years old. I liked it, but as with anything, it was just something new to learn. It wasn’t until about 3 years ago that I picked up a hook and yarn. I had become disabled because of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, but I needed something to keep me busy. I started out designing, because I am not good at reading patterns. I always wanted to go and do something other than what the pattern said.
The Country Willow was born in 2013. I offer free pattern and occasionally paid ones. I offer mostly free because I know in these tough economic times, a lot of people cannot afford to pay for good patterns. I want people to enjoy crocheting without the worries of buying a pattern.“
