Summer-time Fun with Fruttare

There are so many things that I love about summer. I especially love taking the little one to places that she enjoys most. We really love going the park and the beach the most. This past week has been a wash and we weren’t able to get out as much as we normally do. With the constant thunderstorms and high humidity, it’s been hard to find a nice day to go to out. Kaylee has been begging but we just couldn’t do anything about it. So, I decided to have a beach day…indoors. We all know that no beach day is complete without some cool treats. Our treat of choice, Fruttare Fruit Bars! They are delicious, fruity, and are the perfect cold treat for a hot, humid day.

When I went to Walmart last week, I picked up two boxes of Fruttare Fruit Bars. I ended up with two different flavors. I really wanted to try the Mango flavored bars, while Kenny and Kaylee teamed up against me for the Strawberry fruit bars. So, I ended up with both. Don’t get me wrong, they are both fabulous but I prefer mango to strawberry any day! 

I wanted to take the bars to the park so that Kaylee could have something refreshing after all of her playing but that ended up not happening because of the constant rain. I felt bad that Kaylee couldn’t go outside. She really wanted to. That’s when I came up with the idea to have an indoor beach day. We set up beach towels and I put Kaylee in her bathing suit. She had so much fun pretending to be at the beach. We didn’t have sand, but she did pretend play with her shovel and pail. We also played with a big bouncy ball. Kaylee even asked me for an umbrella. Too bad we don’t have a beach umbrella or beach chairs. It would have made our beach day more realistic. We had such a great time but, we were missing one thing. I knew that the Fruttare bars in my freezer would be just the perfect treat to make our fun day complete. Kaylee asked me for a “strawberry treat” which is what she called the Strawberry Fruttare bars. She ended up eating the whole bar and not sharing a bit of it with me. It’s ok, I preferred the mango anyway 🙂

For your next outdoor (or indoor) summer adventure, fill your cooler with some Fruttare bars for an extra fun, refreshing treat! I can’t wait for the weather to get better so that we can pack some Fruttare bars in our cooler and head to the beach or park. I bet they taste even better under the warm sun. I also can’t wait to try some of the other flavors! And, since Fruttare Fruit Bars are available almost anywhere, you can try them for yourselves too!
