Very easy to follow and understand especially for a beginner like me. Step by step. Awesome job in explaining and having pictures that go directly with it.

I love these instructions. I write instructions down because I can’t always connect and I don’t have a printer.
I had instructions from another site last year and they weren’t as clear. It took alot of froggin before I figured it out. I made a nice heavy scarf for the blistering cold winds of March. Thank you.

Hi there if I wanted this a little denser could I easily go down a hook size or do you think it would bunch on itself? Very pretty stitch. Thanks!

Hi Cara! I think if you go down one hook size it most likely will not bunch but if you move down several hooks sizes with a yarn that has a lot of give, it most likely will bunch. I hope that helps!

Hello! Like everyone else I love your tutorials! And I also have been wanting to learn the Waffle stitch and you’ve done the impossible and taught me…..now how would I go about doing a blanket? Would I chain as long as I think I needed the blanket to be?

Hi Patty! You would chain a larger multiple of 3 🙂

Hi Patty! Just multiply 3 (for example, 3×2, 3×3, etc.)

I like the things you have been posting, however, I get frustrated when I can’t use Printer Friendly to save the patterns.

Just tried the waffle stitch. Best tutorial I have ever used! Read the instructions, do what it says, check the picture, move on. So much better than a video (what did they say?). No having to stop the video, go back – oops! Too far! Now where was I? I love the stitch, but honestly, I’m more excited about the instructions. Love it! You have a fan for life.

Thank you so much Nancy! I try to make my photos and tutorials clear. I know there are a lot of people that are partial to videos but some do really well with photo instructions. I personally like them more than videos 🙂 Thank you for stopping by my page and for trying out my tutorial!!

I am little confused. Waffle stitch. I think maybe its me , but at the end of row 3, I am suppose to do a front post around chain 3 . I find that I get to end of row and it looks to be like I should be doing a double crochet around chain3. Would you help me correct my mistake ?

Hi! Yes you are supposed to be working a double crochet around the ch-3 🙂

Thanks for responding. And clearing this up for me. I truly appreciate it. Was that then and error in the pattern ?

Dc in the next st, FPdc around each of the next 2 sts** Repeat from * to ** until you reach the end of the row, working your last FPdc around the ch-3. Turn.

No it’s correct. You can FPdc around a chain if it counts as the dc
