Announcing the 2023 Scarf of the Month CAL!
We are so excited to be back for our 8th year of the Scarf of the Month CAL! Rhondda (oombawkadesigncrochet.com) and I are ready to bring you another year of wonderful scarf patterns. This year we will be joined by 12 amazing guest designers who will each design a new free scarf/cowl/neckwarmer pattern for you to crochet and enjoy. We are also bringing back the Hat of the Month CAL too! To help you prepare, we have put together a supply list with the supplies you will need for each month’s patterns. If you are new to The Scarf of the Month CAL, here is how works:
Each month, on the third Sunday of the month, Rhondda and I will each share one free crochet pattern for a traditional scarf, infinity scarf, or cowl/neckwarmer. Our guest designer for the month will also be contributing a new free crochet scarf pattern. By the end of the year, you will have 36 free crochet scarf patterns to choose from to create for yourself and your loved ones or to share as gifts! Like last year, we will be sharing a post with the yarn and hook needed for each pattern, prior to the pattern releases, so that you can be prepared to crochet them. We will also continue to offer a free PDF copy of each pattern for 24 hours after the pattern release.

If you would like to share your progress, please feel free to add your Ravelry Project Pages for each of the scarves you make! Each pattern post will include a specific pattern link to Ravelry so you can add your own project. Rhondda has put together a great tutorial on how to add projects to Ravelry, which you can find here. We would also love to see your projects on Instagram! Tag us on Instagram at @thestitchinmommy and/or @oombawkadesigncrochet and use the hashtag #ScarfoftheMonth to share your progress with us.
