  • This project is worked in a continuous round. Do not join unless otherwise noted. This is where a stitch marker comes in handy. Use the stitch marker to mark the last stitch of each round.

Instructions:

Tail:

Magic Circle, ch 1.

Round 2: 1 sc into each st around. (6 sts)
Round 3: *1 sc dec over the next 2 sts; Repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Ears (Make 2):

Row/Round 1: Ch 9, 1 sc into each of the next 7 sts, 3 sc into the last st. Working down the opposite side of the ch, 1 sc into each of the next 7 sts. Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing (17 sts)

Finish:

  • Using the yarn needle, sew the tail onto the bottom of the pouch.
  • Sew ears onto the top of the pouch.
  • Using embroidery needle and floss, embroider the face. For the eyes, I made 2 french knots with the black floss and for the nose, I just sewed 3 stitches to form a “Y” with the pink floss.
  • Using one of the tails, sew the top and bottom pieces of the pouch together with a whip stitch. Only sew the back 10 stitches together to create a “hinge.”
