Materials:

• Approximately 37-147 yds of Category 4 Medium Weight Cotton Yarn; I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran* yarn in the Buttercup Yellow colorway
• Size I 5.5mm Furls Streamline Crochet Hook*
• Yarn Needle* for weaving ends
• Scissors*

Abbreviations:

BL – back loop
ch(s) – chain(s)
FL – front loop
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)
() – indicates stitch counts
* – indicates instructions to be repeated

Gauge:

16 stitches & 13.2 rows = 4″ (in pattern st)

Finished Sizes:

• 6″ x 6″
• 9″ x 9″
• 12″ x 12″

Notes:

• This pattern is written in US terms.
• Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. If you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.

6″ Washcloth

Ch 28
Row 1: Work 1 sc into the 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc into each remaining st across, turn. (27 st)
Row 2: Ch 1, 1 sc into the FL of each st across, turn. (27 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc into the BL of each st across, turn. (27 sts)
Rows 4-19: Repeats Row 2-3
Row 20: Repeat Row 2, fasten off. (27 sts)

Finish:

• Weave all ends.
• (Optional) You can add a simple border by joining your yarn with a sl st into any stitch, sc evenly around placing 3 sc sts into each corner, join in beginning sc with an invisible join. Fasten off, weave ends.

Ch 41
Row 1: Work 1 sc into the 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc into each remaining st across, turn. (40 st)
