This week I am going to show you how to do the Peephole Chevron stitch pattern and give you the instructions to turn it into the Citrus Splash Dishcloth, with a photo tutorial.  Happy Crocheting!

Citrus Splash Dishcloth Pattern and Tutorial

3.8 sts & 1.4 rows = 1″

Finished Size:

8″ x 8″

Notes:

  • This pattern is written in US crochet terms.
  • The sizes are an approximation. They will not be exact. Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. Gauge is not necessary for this pattern but if you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.

  • All color changes are made in the last yarn over of the last st of the row.

With Color A Ch 33

Row 1:  1 dc into the 4th ch from hook (the skipped 3 chs count as 1 dc)

Row 1 cont’d: 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts

 Row 1 cont’d: *Sk the next 2 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 4 sts

Row 1 cont’d: Ch 2

Row 1 cont’d: 1 dc into each of the next 4 sts**

 Row 1 cont’d: Repeat from * to ** until there are 6 sts remaining

Row 1 cont’d: Sk 2 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts

Row 1 cont’d: Work 2 dc into the last st, changing to Color B on the last yarn over of the last dc, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3 (count as a dc)

Row 2 cont’d: 1 dc into the first st

Row 2 cont’d: 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts

Row 2 cont’d: *Sk the next 2 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts

Row 2 cont’d: 1 dc into the ch-2 sp

Row 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 1 dc into the first st, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, *sk the next 2 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, [1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc] all in the next ch-2 sp, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts** Repeat from * to ** until there are 6 sts remaining, sk the next 2 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, 2 dc into the t-ch, Change to Color B, turn. (30)

Finish (optional):

You can add a simple border by joining your yarn with a sl st in one of the stitches, sc evenly around placing 3 sc sts in each corner, join in beginning sc with an invisible join. Fasten off, weave ends.
