Lydie Infinity Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Approximately 234 yds of a Category 4 Medium Weight Yarn in 3 colors:
  • Approximately 78 yds of Color A; I used Furls Wander Acrylic* yarn in the Bergamot colorway
  • Approximately 78 yds of Color B; I used Furls Wander Acrylic* yarn in the Enchanted colorway
  • Approximately 78 yds of Color C; I used Furls Wander Acrylic* yarn in the Amethyst colorway
• Size J 6 mm Furls Streamline Crochet Hook*
• Yarn Needle* for weaving ends
• Scissors*

Skill Level:

Easy

Abbreviations:

ch(s) – chain(s)
dc – double crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)
() – indicates stitch counts
* – indicates instructions to be repeated

Gauge:

16 stitches & 6.4 rows = 4″ (in pattern st)

Finished Size:

Approximately 6.5″ wide and 56″ long, before seaming

Multiple:

Chain a multiple of 4 sts

Notes:

• This pattern is written in US terms.
• Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. Gauge is not necessary for this pattern but if you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.
• All color changes are made in the last yarn over in the last stitch of the row.
• This pattern is worked flat and then seamed at the ends to create an infinity scarf.

Instructions:

With Color A,
Ch 28
Row 1: Work 2 dc into the 5th ch from the hook, work 2 dc into the next st, *sk the next 2 sts, 2 dc into each of the next 2 sts; Repeat from * across until there are 2 sts remaining, sk the next st, 1 dc into the last st, turn. (26 sts)
Row 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), *sk the next 2 sts, 2 dc into each of the next 2 sts; Repeat from * across until there are 2 sts remaining, sk the next st, 1 dc into the 3rd ch of the ch-3, turn. (26 sts)
Rows 3-30: Repeat Row 2
Change to Color B
Rows 31-60: Repeat Row 2
Change to Color C
Rows 61-89: Repeat Row 2
Row 90: Repeat Row 2, fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. (26 sts)

Finish:

• Bring both ends of the scarf together so that the beginning row meets the end row.
• Using the yarn tail and a yarn needle, whip stitch the ends together.
• Weave all ends.
