M.I.A.

So over the past week or so I’ve been pretty much neglecting my blog and I’ve been MIA for the most part. I hated not having the time to craft or even bake. I especially hated not having time to update my blog. It seems that when life around here gets busy, it REALLY gets busy.

Over the past week I’ve been focusing a lot on school. My class that I am taking (since I”m only taking one at a time) requires a lot of studying and a lot of attention outside of class. The material is just dreadful. I’ve also been nursing a sprained foot and have not been feeling up to doing much. To add to that, my husband decided that we “needed” a new car. We’ve been busy hopping, well hobbling, from dealership to dealership looking at cars. We finally settled on a car and are now selling our old one to a friend. I’ve been driving smaller cars since I learned how to drive. Now I have a SUV sitting in my parking space and it intimidates me. I guess I should be thankful that it’s a compact SUV and not a full sized one. I think that would terrify me even more. I guess like everything in life it’ll take some getting used to.

To add to everything else, I’ve been using whatever was left of my time to spend with the little person that needs all of my attention. Kaylee has seemed to grow so much over the past week. She’s saying so much more and her personality is so much stronger than before. Here are her new sayings:

Want some? – She is usually asking for something not giving =)
Good Morning – If you tell her good morning she will say it right back to you
Tanchu– Close enough to “thank you” as we’re going to get right now. She’s so adorable because she says thank you when you give her anything.
Hi Mama – Up until recently she only addressed her daddy as daddy and I was “hey.” Now she actually addresses me as mama and says it all day long.
Map & Backpack – She is obsessed with Dora the Explorer. I don’t usually let her watch too much tv but this show is the exception. She sings along with all of the songs (even when the show is not on)
Baby – Baby is the name of her bear. She says baby all day long.

She also sings to herself a lot and dances around the house. It makes me so emotional to see my beautiful little girl growing up before my eyes. I try to take as much time as I can to cherish it all.

All in all it’s been a pretty interesting week. I aced my exam that I took yesterday and now I think I’ll go and crochet something =)
