My Top Five {Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes}

Mother’s day is just around the corner and well I haven’t been a mother for long but I have loved celebrating Mother’s Day so far.

Last year, since my extended family had 2 new mothers celebrating our first “official” Mother’s Day (myself included) we decided to go out for breakfast brunch. [On a side note, Kaylee was born after Mother’s Day 2011 so, 2012 was my first year celebrating with her here] Needless to say that going to our favorite diner was a zoo. Everyone and their mom (literally) were there. We arrived for breakfast but weren’t seated until well after 11am. Hence, breakfast turned into brunch. The wait was extra excruciating because they were trying to accommodate the 20 people in our party. It’s actually great when we go to this specific diner because they give us our own section. Long story short, we ended up waiting forever and everyone was hungry and cranky by the time we sat down and were able to order.

If you can avoid going out for Mother’s Day, I suggest you do something special for the moms in your family at home. I found a bunch of great recipes on the several different blogs that I read and I thought that they would be great to make into a Mother’s Day brunch. I hope you try them out and I hope that all of you mom’s out there have an amazing Mother’s Day!
