Sausage and Peppers Calzone – Ragú #NewTraDish
I was compensated by Ragú with free products for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.
I’m always looking for new dishes to make for my family and I love putting new spins on traditional recipes. So when I got the opportunity to put my own spin on the Ragú Classic Sausage and Peppers, I was super excited! I started to think about what my family really likes to eat and how they like to eat. Italian food is always a favorite in my home. Also, my husband and daughter both love things that they can grab and eat quickly, even for dinner. So, I decided to take the Classic Sausage and Peppers recipe and make my New Tra-Dish of Sausage and Peppers Calzones! The recipe is super easy and only requires a few simple ingredients. I hope you enjoy the recipe!
- 16 oz package Italian sausage, sliced into rounds
- 24 oz jar Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 32 oz pizza dough
- Heat olive oil in medium skillet over medium heat.
Each jar of Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce is made with 11 juicy tomatoes making it its richest, thickest recipe.*
