It’s no secret that I have been struggling with my weight for quite a few years. After Kaylee was born I wanted to shed my baby weight. I started to work on myself but we ended up having to move. In the process of having a new born and moving, I didn’t have any time to exercise. Since I didn’t really have time to exercise, I started to eat healthier not only for me, but for Kaylee as well since I was nursing.  When we moved, we knew that we needed to renovate our kitchen. What we didn’t realize was how long it was going to take and what a toll it would have on us. We ate out EVERY single day for 2 months. 2 MONTHS! I’m talking about 3 meals a day. We had no kitchen and no space to cook or prepare meals. Both Kenny and I gained a tremendous amount of weight during that time. Since then, I’ve been trying to get myself back down to a size that I am happy with. It’s been a long struggle and I still struggle to make the right choices every day. I have been able to shed a few pounds but I am still not at my ideal weight. With the Slimfast 14-day Slimdown, I am getting closer and closer to my goal.

I was never a skinny girl but I was always comfortable with my weight. That was until recently. On the right is a photo of me a few years ago and on the left is a photo of me just last year. Like I said, I wasn’t skinny before but I weighed a lot less and felt much healthier then.

I’ve done a great deal in the last few months to change my lifestyle. I exercise daily and have modified my diet to include healthier options. I’ve lost about 10 pounds on my journey so far and I am on my way to shedding a few more for the summer. With Slimfast, I have a convenient and delicious way to potentially lose up to lose 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks of trying it. Slimfast is a brand that is known for having delicious and easy meal and snack options to get what you really want.  The newest flavor, which was launched in April of this year, is definitely a favorite. The new “Have Your Cake…™”  Meal Bar has 180 calories per bar. It has a delicious vanilla cake and frosting, combined with fun sprinkles. It’s so delicious it makes you feel like you are really having a slice of cake!

For the past week, after incorporating the Slimfast meal bars into my diet and having a light dinner, I have been noticing some changes in my weight. I have lost about 2 pounds so far. I still have 7 days to go in my slimdown but it looks promising. Like I said, I’m not trying to be skinny. I just want to be back to my normal, healthy weight. I’ve been making sure to exercise every day as well. 

So are you wondering how you can slim down in 14 days? To be able to lose up to 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks, you would have to swap two meals per day with a Slimfast® protein shake or meal bar (The shakes and bars are a meal replacement, not an addition to a healthy meal), and have a third meal of no more than 500 calories. You can also have three 100-calorie snacks or pieces of fruit, but you should not exceed 1200 calories per day. You are also required to do 30 minutes of light to medium exercise daily and drink plenty of water
