Materials:
- Approximately 42 yds of Category 4 Medium Weight Cotton Yarn in 3 colors:
- 34 yds of Color A – I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream in Red*
- 6 yds of Color B – I used Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton in Snap Pea
- 2 yds of Color C – I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream in Hot Green*
- Size I (5.5 mm) Crochet Hook*
- Yarn Needle* for weaving ends
- Scissors*
- 1 – 1″ Button

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sc dec – single crochet decrease
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch

Gauge:
4 stitches and 4 rows = 1 inch

Magic circle, ch 1
Round 1: 6 sc into magic circle, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (6)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc into each st around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (12)
Round 3: Ch 1, *1 sc into the next st, 2 sc into the next st; Repeat from * around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (18)
Round 4: Ch 1, *1 sc into each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc into the next st; Repeat from * around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (24)
Round 5: Ch 1, *1 sc into each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc into the next st; Repeat from * around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (30)
Round 6: Ch 1, *1 sc into each of the next 4 sts, 2 sc into the next st; Repeat from * around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (36)
Round 7: Ch 1, 1 sc into each st around, join into beginning sc with a sl st. (36)
Row 8: Ch 1, *1 sc into the next st, 1 dc into the next st; Repeat from * around until there are 6 sts remaining, turn. (30)

Leaf (Make 2):
With Color B,
Ch 8,
Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in the next st, hdc in the next st, dc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the last st, ch 3, working down the opposite side of the chain, sc in the next st, hdc in the next st, dc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next st, sl st in the last st. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. (17)
Finish:
This is what your cozy will look like after Row 14
Join Color C in the first stitch of Row 14 with a sl st, sc in the same st
sc in each st in Row 14
Work evenly down the side, around the bottom, and up the other side, joining in the first sc with an invisible join.
Join Color C on the right side of the cozy with a sl st (you can also place it on the left if you wish and place the button on the right)
Ch 12 and sl st in the same st. Weave ends.
Sew leaves in right next to the loop to make it look like one solid piece. Sew button onto other side using yarn and yarn needle.
