Materials:

• Approximately 331 yds of a Category 3 Light Weight Yarn; I used Lion Brand Mandala Baby* yarn in the Far Far Away colorway
• Size I 5.5mm Furls Streamline Metal Crochet Hook*
• Yarn Needle* for weaving ends
• Scissors*

Skill Level:

Intermediate

Abbreviations:

ch(s) – chain(s)
dc – double crochet
dc3tog – double crochet 3 stitches together
st(s) – stitch(es)
() – indicates stitch counts
* – indicates instructions to be repeated

Gauge:

16.4 stitches & 6.8 rows = 4″ (in dc)

Finished Size:

Approximately 7.5″ wide and 41″ long (before seaming)

Multiple:

Chain a multiple of 10+1, +3 for the foundation ch

Notes:

• This pattern is written in US terms.
• Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. Gauge is not necessary for this pattern but if you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.
• This pattern is worked flat and seamed at the ends to create an infinity scarf.

Instructions:

Ch 34,
Row 1: 1 dc into the 4th ch from hook (skipped chs count as 1 dc), 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, dc3tog over the next 3 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, *3 dc into the next st, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, dc3tog over the next 3 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts; Repeat from * across until there is 1 st remaining, 2 dc into the last st, turn. (31 sts)
Row 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 1 dc into the first st, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, dc3tog over the next 3 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, *3 dc into the next st, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts, dc3tog over the next 3 sts, 1 dc into each of the next 3 sts; Repeat from * across, 2 dc into the t-ch, turn. (31 sts)
Rows 3-69: Repeat Row 2
Row 70: Repeat Row 2, fasten off, leave a 12″ long tail for sewing.

Finish:

• Bring both ends of the scarf together so that the beginning row meets the end row.
• Using the yarn tail and a yarn needle, whip stitch the ends together.
• Weave all ends.
