Granny Ripple Stitch Tutorial
One of the most popular patterns on my blog is my Random Stripe Granny Ripple Afghan. Since releasing that pattern, I have gotten so many requests for a tutorial. Well, I finally had the time to create one! So here it is, a full photo tutorial for the Granny Ripple Stitch pattern. Happy Crocheting!

Granny Ripple Stitch Tutorial
Skill Level:
Easy
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream* for this example)
- Size I Crochet Hook*
- Yarn Needle*, for weaving ends
- Scissors*

Abbreviations:
st(s) – stitch(es)
dc – double crochet
ch – chain
sk – skip
Gauge:
20 stitches & 4 rows= 4 inches
Multiple:
Multiple of 18
Instructions:
Step 1: Ch 54
Step 2: 3 dc into the 5th ch from hook
Step 3: Sk 2 sts, 3 dc into the next st.
Step 4: Sk 2 sts, 3 dc into the next st.
Step 5: Ch 3
Step 6: 3 dc into the same st
Step 7: Sk 2 sts, 3 dc into the next st.
Step 8: Sk 2 sts, 3 dc into the next st.
Step 9: Sk 5 sts, 3 dc into the next st
Step 10: Sk 2 sts, 3 dc into the next st
Step 11: Repeat Steps 4-11 until you have 1 sts remaining
Step 12: 1 dc in the last st, changing colors in the last yarn over of the dc, turn.
Step 13: Ch 4
Step 14: Work 3 dc in between the next 2 dc-clusters.
Step 15: Work 3 dc in between the next 2 dc-clusters
Step 16: [3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc] in the next ch-3 space.
Step 17: [Work 3 dc in between the next 2 dc-clusters], twice.
Step 18: Sk the space between the next 2 dc-clusters, work 3 dc in between the next 2 dc-clusters.
Step 19: Work 3 dc in between the next 2 dc-clusters
Step 20: Repeat Steps 14-19 until you reach the end of the row.
Step 21: Dc in the turning chain, changing colors on the last yarn over of the dc, turn.
