So I’m glad I found this page, cause I was sort of panicking due to the fact I’m a slow crocheter and I also don’t have a lot of time to crochet. But when I found this page the items are so fast and easy to do I now have a backup gift for Mother’s Day if I don’t get my blanket finished.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart, for these awesome patterns.

OK I was not sure if I would ever be able to do that many stitches in a row. I made one this evening, was actually fun to watch it grow in my hands as I crocheted. I promised to donate a gift to a charity event I am going too and wanted to do a nice gift basket. Thank you so much for these patterns.

Hi Heather! The Magic Circle is an alternate method to starting a project in the round. It’s great because it doesn’t leave a giant hole in the middle. You can find a video tutorial here: http://www.mooglyblog.com/the-magic-circle/

I’m curious about using one of these. Do you wash it every time you use it? Or just rinse it and hang it in the shower to dry, like a nylong pouf? (I’m interested in these so I can stop buying one more thing made in China on a regular basis.)Thanks!

I usually squeeze it out really well and hang it to dry after the shower and then wash it every couple of days to make sure it’s clean.

Mine also came out huge (I was using Bernat) and I’m a super tight crocheter. I took out the fourth round, and instead did single crochets in the DCs, alternating 2 then 3. (800 total SCs). It is absolutely perfect!! I love this pouf, and have lots of Christmas presents in mind now 🙂

I have done 2 of these in the last couple of days. They come out huge with lily sugar n cream yarn. I have used almost 2 skeins of yarn that was 102 yards for the first one. My second one I used a skein that was 150 yards and if wasn’t enough so will have to buy another to finish it. I used an I hook as well

Hi Jessica! Did you check the gauge? Everyone has different gauge so if it is coming out too large, I would suggest going down a hook size and/or eliminating the last round.

I used Bernat Handicrafts yarn and an I hook. The pouf came out a lot larger than I would normally care to use. Next time I try the pattern I’m planning on omitting row 4 and I think it would come out plenty big. Mine also seems much more dense than the picture. Still, a great patten and easy to use.

I’ve made several of these!! Some people mention it took too much yarn. When you get to the last row you can alternate the number of stitches you use and omit a few stitches here and there. Comes out perfect and you can’t tell the difference.

Is there a way to treat the yarn so the colour doesn’t run? I made one with Bernat and the water on my skin ran blue.

I would try soaking it in a vinegar bath (about 1 cup of vinegar with about a gallon of water) for 30 minutes and then rising it with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone. Once it dries, the color should no longer run. Hope that helps!

I just finished my very fluffy puffy pouf, just wanted to let you know that I used quite a bit more yarn than just the 150 yards that are in the material list, even thoug I’m generally quite a tight hooker 🙂

I used 2 skeins of 85m each and then some, so for me it took at least 185 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn. And for some weird reason my pouf also looks a lot denser than the one shown on the photo… but who cares right 😀

I loved the easy pattern and now I’ve got a luxurious fluffy puffy bath pouf!

Thank you so much for this lovely pattern!

Hi Nicky! It’s funny because I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Super Size and it didn’t use up the whole skein (it’s about 200 yds). It probably has something to do with the kind of yarn you used. Every yarn is different 🙂 I’m glad you liked the pattern!

Hi Connie! I would just use your best judgement. I know that I really squeeze mine out and hang it to dry, so it dries fairly quickly. If you live in a humid or damp environment, it might not dry as fast. I would just test it out to be sure.

Thanks Robin! What you can do is stop at Round 2 and see if it is small enough. If it’s too small, proceed to round 3 and see if it is the size you are looking for. You can also try going down a hook size and using a 5.0mm instead of the 5.5mm. Hope that helps!

Oh I love this so much. I hate those plastic bath poofs you get everywhere. This will be so much softer. Can’t wait to see what else you will come up with for you spa day.
