    Hi!
Love yr patterns – this soap saver is super cute. Just wondering could this be used for facial scrubbies as well or is it too small. Really would like to make it for scrubbies but am not sure if it will fit – if it will fit scrubbies what size scrubby will fit into this lovely little bag? Many tks. Can’t wait to try this. Love your site & patterns – thank you for sharing them with us.

Hi Helen! I think it would be too small for scrubbies. It just fits a bar of soap snugly. I offer the stitch multiple information so you can increase the size to fit your scrubbies 🙂

I made this (out of yarn scraps) and added a few more rounds to make a pouch to carry my phone in. I love it so much. Thanks a lot for this beautiful and easy to understand pattern

I am stuck on round 5. I can’t seem to keep 15 dc for each round. I seem to increase as Ingo along. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Heather! I find that adding a stitch marker at the beginning of the round helps identify the first stitch so that you know where to join. Also, make sure you are not working into the first st since your ch-4 counts as a stitch and ch-1. I hope that helps!

Hi, I’m new to crocheting and I’m having trouble with Round 10. Specifically “hdc in each ch-1 sp and dc around”. I tried to do the half-double crochet in the chain space, but then I couldn’t figure out where to put the double crochets. Am I supposed to put a hdc and dc in each chain space? Or am I supposed to alternate hdc and dc in each of the 30 stitches? I tried to look up the terminology, but I couldn’t find anything. Please help. Thanks!

Hi Jen. You are basically just hdc in each stitch and chain space around. You are going to hdc in the chain space and then in the top of the dc from the previous round. I hope that helps.

I made this soap saver for my husband and he is very excited to try it out. Now my eleven-year-old son is requesting one as well.
The only change that I made was that I made the tie into a loop (like on a loofah but you can still cinch the bag shut. This makes it easy for hanging and drying purposes).

Thanks for the pattern. I can’t wait to make the loofah for my daughter.

What an awesome idea to make a loop like the loofah! I’m so glad that your family enjoys the soap savers. I love the ones I made for myself 🙂

You mentioned that you would have a sugar scrub to go with your Spa Day series the following week. I’ve been on the look out for it but haven’t seen it or can’t seem to find it. Have you posted it? Where can I find it? I’d love to finish by putting the whole set together as a gift. Your patterns have been great. Thank you.

Oh no no just meant that it’s interesting how a lot of crocheters come up with very similar or the same items all over the world. Coincidence… I’m so sorry if I offended you I just thought it was interesting & funny.

I’m sorry! I just didn’t want you to think I copied. I wouldn’t do that. I create from what floats out of my head. 🙂 It is really funny but it does happen. I had a designer come up with a similar pattern to one of mine and we ended up publishing within a few days of each other, without even knowing about each other’s pattern. They say great minds think alike!

Hi Amy, I’ve been following your blog & just came across your soap saver. Not quite sure how to feel about this or what to say… It looks an awful like the one I created & sell which is solely my pattern.

I can assure you that I do not copy designs from others. I actually worked on this soap saver for over 2 weeks, testing different stitches and working out the pattern. The mesh stitch is a fairly common one among items like this and can probably be found in other similar patterns. I am sorry that you feel that I copied you but I can tell you that it is far from the truth.
