Dara Infinity Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Welcome to the 2022 Scarf of the Month CAL!

For my October contribution, I have a this beautiful infinity scarf made with Furls Wander yarn. I love the changing textures and the yarn colors! Dara Infinity Scarf

Materials:

Easy

Abbreviations:

ch(s) – chain(s)
ch-sp – chain space
dc – double crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)
t-ch – turning chain
() – indicates stitch counts
* – indicates instructions to be repeated

Gauge:

15.2 stitches & 9.6 rows = 4″ (in dc)

Finished Size:

Approximately 6.25″ wide and 49″ long, before seamed

Multiple:

Chain a multiple of 2 + 4

Notes:

  • This pattern is written in US terms.
  • Sizing will vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet. Gauge is not necessary for this pattern but if you would like to keep the sizing the same, please check your gauge before starting this project.
  • This project is worked flat and then seamed at the ends to create an infinity scarf.

Special Stitches:

Baby Bean Stitch:

  • Insert hook into designated stitch
  • Yarn over, pull up a loop
  • Yarn over and insert hook into same stitch
  • Yarn over, pull up a loop
  • Yarn over and pull up through all 4 loops on hook

Instructions:

With Color A, Ch 26
Row 1:
Work 1 baby bean st into 4th ch from hook, *ch 1, sk the next ch, work 1 baby bean st into the next st; Repeat from * across, turn. (24 sts)
Row 2: Ch 3, *work 1 baby bean st into the next ch-sp, ch 1; Repeat from * across, working your last st under the t-ch, turn. (24 sts)
Row 3-10: Repeat Row 2
Change to Color B
Row 11: Ch 3, 1 dc into each st across, turn. (24 sts)
Rows 12-18: Repeat Row 11
Change to Color A
Row 19: Ch 3, work 1 baby bean st into the first st, *ch 1, sk the next st, work 1 baby bean st into the next st; Repeat from * across, working the last st under the t-ch, turn. (24 sts)
Row 20: Ch 3, *work 1 baby bean st into the next ch-sp, ch 1; Repeat from * across, working your last st under the t-ch, turn. (24 sts)
Rows 21-28: Repeat Row 20
Change to Color B
Row 29: Ch 3, 1 dc into each st across, turn. (24 sts)
Rows 30-36: Repeat Row 29
Change to Color A
Rows 37-46: Repeat Row 20
Change to Color B
Rows 47-54: Repeat Row 29
Change to Color A
Rows 55-64: Repeat Row 20
Change to Color B
Rows 65-72: Repeat Row 29
Change to Color A
Rows 73-82: Repeat Row 20
Change to Color B
Rows 83-90: Repeat Row 29
Change to Color A
Rows 91-100: Repeat Row 20
Change to Color B
Rows 101-108: Repeat Row 29
Change to Color A
Rows 91-117: Repeat Row 20
Row 118: Repeat Row 20, fasten off leave a long tail for sewing.

Finish:

  • Bring both ends of the scarf together so that beginning row meets the end row.
  • Using the yarn tail and a yarn needle, whip stitch the ends together.
  • Weave all ends.
