Fall Slouch Hat – Introduction Post
Rhondda and I are super excited to bring you another collaboration project! With the success of our Fall Poncho CAL, we decided to make a matching slouch hat!
This slouch hat is worked flat, in rows, and then seamed at the end using the yarn tails and a yarn needle. The ribbing of the hat is worked first and then turned to begin the main portion of the hat. Long tails are left at the end of each color change to sew the hat together.

Yarn and Hook Used
This slouch hat is very easy to customize. Rhondda and I have worked out the amount of stitches you will need to chain for your starting chain, for a select amount of sizes using the yarn we selected for our slouch hats. The hat is easily customized to make it more or less slouchy by adding or removing rows. If you wish to have a beanie instead of a slouch, you can just shorten the amount of rows that you make. It’s super easy!

- Knit Picks Swish DK in Marina & Wonderland Heather
- Knit Picks Capra DK in Cream
- Size 3.75mm (F) Hook
- Size 5.00mm (H) Hook
Rhondda’s Yarn & Hooks (Worsted Weight)
- Red Heart Soft in Berry, Off White, & Grape
- Size 4.00mm (G) Hook
- Size 6.00mm (I) Hook
You will need one skein of each color to complete the slouch.
