Simply Delicious and Deliciously Simple
About a month and a half ago, I was invited to the NYC Wine and Food Festival, on behalf of Unilever, to try two new delicious spreads from I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and Country Crock. I had such an amazing time and I got to try A LOT of amazing food.
After writing my post about NYCWFF, I received an email from my contact at Unilever asking me if I was interested in writing another review of both spreads. Of course I was interested! It’s not often that you come across a great tasting product that is also a healthier option. Being a mom, I’m always looking for healthier alternatives for my little one as well as my hubby and myself.
But of course, being the good blogger, I had to get some beautiful pictures before stuffing my face. I can’t tell you how many recipes and other food related posts I’ve ruined because I couldn’t wait to eat =)
I started with this lovely baguette and some I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! Deliciously Simple. To tell you the truth, it does not taste anything like regular I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, but that’s a good thing. The best part is, it has minimal ingredients and everything that goes into it can actually be pronounced! I love that Deliciously Simple has a tang to it, which I think is contributed by the yogurt. It has it’s own unique taste that I enjoy. And of course I had to share some with my little munchkin. I didn’t feel bad about giving her a nice dollop on a piece of lightly toasted bread, since it has no artificial preservatives. It was safe to say that she thoroughly enjoyed her Deliciously Simple.
After sampling the Deliciously Simple, I worked my way over to this sesame seed roll with Country Crock Simply Delicious. Now I don’t want to play favorites but I’m going to. I really liked the Simply Delicious. Don’t get me wrong, both spreads are great but I think I’ve always been partial to Country Crock. My mom cooked with it when I was growing up and we’ve always had it around. I’m really happy to say that Simply Delicious lives up to it’s name. Kenny asked to try it (even though he’s really picky about food) and even he enjoyed the flavor. Sadly, he wouldn’t let me take pictures of him stuffing his face or going back for seconds =)
