Sunshine and Hugs Preemie Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern

I recently received this gorgeous new Baby Hugs Yarn from Red Heart and I couldn’t wait to make something exciting! Baby Hugs comes in a variety of vibrant colors and two different yarn weights, light and medium. Best of all, Baby Hugs is certified safe according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I which means it has been tested to be free from harmful levels of over 300 substances. It soft, snuggly, and safe for baby! This makes it the perfect yarn for blankets, hats and other baby items! Today I am going to share my free pattern for the Sunshine and Hugs preemie-sized Beanie using Baby Hugs medium weight yarn. This preemie hat pattern is great for donating to hospitals and other charities that are in need of hats. I will be working up the pattern for other sizes as well (which are also great for charity 😉 ) so make sure to stay tuned for that! I hope you enjoy the pattern and Happy Crocheting!

  1. Thanks for sharing. We only have one hospital of approximately three large hospitals in the area which will birth babies. I crochet hats for them on a regular basis. Especially the preemie size. I feel they too often get forgotten. I appreciate you.
