Super Cute Crochet for Little Feet: 30 Stylish Shoes, Booties and Sandals to Crochet for Babies by Vita Apala, published by St. Martin’s Griffincontains 30 of the most adorable baby shoes and booties that are fun to crochet and perfect for little feet!

The book is broken down into three categories:

  • Super Cute Shoes
  • Super Cute Boots
  • Super Cute Sandals

Super Cute Crochet for Little Feet begins with an introduction from the author where she talks about her love for the fiber arts and talks about how the book and patterns are laid out. She explains the different elements of a pattern such as what the Skill Level means, where to find the gauge, and more.

We then move on to an array of baby shoe, boot, and sandal patterns that range in skill level, so there is a pattern for everyone! Each pattern is very detailed and includes the Skill Level, Sizes, Yarn information, Hooks and Notions used, Gauge, and Stitches & Skills used in the pattern. There are also photos that show different parts of the pattern so that you can compare your work with how the pattern is supposed to look at different steps.

At the end of the book, there is a wonderful section that go through the basics of crochet, so it’s great for a beginner. The author even includes what you should have in a basic crochet kit! There is also a full list of abbreviations used in the book and some great crochet techniques, which include how to make a slipknot, chaining, working in the round and more. I also like that there is a section for special stitches to help you master trickier stitches such as post stitches and the crab stitch.

If you want to to make some gorgeous baby shoes for your little one, then you have to get this book! I  hope you will purchase this great books and make a lot of fun new projects from these gorgeous blocks!

  4. I absolutely love the range this book offers of boots to sandals. I have to look everywhere to get one years set of shoes for a growing baby as is now. This would be really helpful and fun.

  5. Those cherry shoes are the most adorable! I love the idea handmade baby boots for gifts – not such a great time investment as a sweater or dress that they will grow out of immediately, but still such a lovely touch to an outfit.

  6. I looked through the project photos on the Macmillan page, and I really like those dusty pink booties w/ the scallop edge and cream bow. <3

  8. I’m not a big fan of crochet books. I like to wip my project as I go or to buy pattern on Ravelry, but I have to admit that this book is really interesting. I love making little slippers and booties !

  9. Such cute baby booties! I expect they’d be very quick to make, and a great way to use up the scraps from the charity baby afghan projects I so often make.
