I am so grateful for the opportunity to review “Reversible Color Crochet” by Laurinda Reddig! In Laurinda’s new book, she shares 28 afghan block patterns that lead to 10 afghan patterns. Laurinda also shares how to create these beautiful afghans with new techniques, while incorporating amazing colorwork. Each pattern featured in Reversible Color Crochet is unique and there are a variety of stitch patterns including stripes, chevrons, diamonds, diagonals, and more. Reversible Color Crochet also has a great section on how to get started with the book and what materials and tools are needed to make the afghan blocks. Laurinda also provides a guide for special stitches and a crochet symbol key to help you decipher what those charts and symbols mean. There is also a great section at the end for yarn management and other hints, as well as a glossary. Here are some of my favorite projects from the book:
The Game’s Afoot p. 129
Jen and Ivo’s Wedding Quilt p. 99
Outrageous Fortune p. 107
The amazing afghans in Reversible Color Crochet would make great gifts for the holidays, a housewarming, or even just for someone special in your life. The colorwork and fantastic designs will amaze anyone that is the lucky recipient of one of these afghans. If you would like to purchase Reversible Color Crochet, you can buy it from the Interweave Store for $24.99.
Stay tuned because I will be posting an interview the amazing Laurinda Reddig, author of Reversible Color Crochet!
